Senior Loan Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant. This position requires ADVANCED EXCEL, strong preference for experience in loan accounting and compliance, as well as expertise in financial reporting and data management.

• Perform loan accounting processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage loan servicing activities, including journal entries, third-party servicer settlements, and remittance reports.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and monitor delinquency and charge-off activities for loan portfolios.
• Generate financial reports, conduct variance analysis, and identify trends or areas for improvement.
• Provide audit and regulatory support to ensure adherence to applicable laws and accounting standards.
• Manage data imports, ensuring accuracy and maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting expertise with a strong preference for Loan Accounting.
• Bachelor s degree in accounting or finance preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must have Advanced Excel and Power Query for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with banking software and reconciliation software.
