Financial & Accounting Controller

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial & Accounting Controller to lead our $30M revenue financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices. • Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and account reconciliation processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Lead internal and external audits by preparing documentation, supporting schedules, and ensuring audit readiness.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of cash management activities, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations using financial software such as Sage Intaact and ADP or similar platforms.
• Oversee regulatory reporting obligations
• Oversee financial statement reviews (SSARs) and tax compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and optimize financial management systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in corporate accounting, public accounting or governmental accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance standards
• Proven expertise in financial report writing, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, ADP or similar platforms; experience with financial management systems is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of technical accounting concepts including payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly.
