Payroll Specialist

A growing organization is seeking a Payroll Specialist to oversee end-to-end payroll processing and ensure accurate and compliant employee compensation administration. This role is responsible for managing payroll transactions, deductions, reconciliations, reporting, and audit support. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced with ADP Workforce Now, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Process recurring payroll cycles accurately and within established deadlines
• Administer wage garnishments, child support orders, and other court-mandated deductions in compliance with applicable regulations
• Enter and maintain employee pay changes including salary updates, bonuses, commissions, advances, loans, insurance deductions, and other compensation adjustments
• Generate and distribute payroll-related reports for leadership, HR, and other departments as requested
• Reconcile payroll accounts including employee loans, benefit deductions, and related liabilities to ensure accuracy
• Review and monitor benefit deductions to confirm proper enrollment and payroll withholding
• Partner with management to support special projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Provide documentation and reporting assistance for Workers' Compensation and 401(k) audits
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies while maintaining accurate financial records

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
• 5-10 years of progressive payroll processing experience
• Hands-on experience with ADP is required
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
