Senior Accountant

Description

We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to essential month-end processes. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a dynamic team while maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities, adhering to company standards and timelines.

- Execute general ledger tasks, including cost allocations and adjustments, in collaboration with financial partners.

- Manage financial data for clients and vendors, including initiating new requests and closing projects as needed.

- Handle intercompany transactions and agreements, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

- Participate in month-end closing procedures, completing assigned tasks to support financial reporting.

- Prepare inputs for financial reports and provide documentation related to contracts and operational activities.

- Review and authorize supplier accounts, client invoices, and purchase orders within established guidelines.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and make journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and meet critical deadlines.

Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

- Strong experience with general ledger tasks and journal entries.

- Solid understanding of bank reconciliation procedures.

- Ability to manage financial data and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

- Familiarity with financial reporting and month-end procedures.

- Capability to handle intercompany agreements and transactions accurately.
