Controller Consultant

This is a pipeline opportunity with UHY Resource Solutions Group rather than an active job opening. While there is no immediate hiring need, we are proactively identifying strong candidates for future Controller-level opportunities with our clients. As an accounting consultant you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and managing a team of accountants. They play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

• Manage daily revenue integrations from multiple source systems into Workday ERP
• Oversee banking activity, cash management processes, and related reconciliations
• Maintain and navigate complex banking relationships and workflows
• Partner with Shared Services to address AP-related inquiries and cash questions
• Support corporate accounting functions under the Controller/CAO
• Stabilize and document revenue processes previously owned by departing team member
• Utilize Power BI reporting tied to banking and revenue systems

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred
• Strong hands‑on experience with Workday ERP (required)
• 10+ years of hands‑on accounting experience with a strong focus on reconciliations and month‑end close
• Deep understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statement accuracy
• Strong experience preparing journal entries and performing account analysis
• Able to work independently and dive into detailed, high-volume reconciliations

Prior consulting or project-based experience is a plus.
