- We are seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to support U.S. tax compliance and reporting for the company and its affiliates. This role involves preparing tax filings, maintaining schedules, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal/state income tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
- Maintain tax payment and accrual schedules for financial reporting.
- Review financial statements to determine appropriate tax treatment.
- Prepare filings for property, sales/use, fuel, and business license taxes.
- Ensure all filings and payments are accurate and timely.
- Maintain documentation and assist with tax audits or inquiries.
- Provide data support for tax planning and special projects.
- Manage incoming tax notices and correspondence.
- 12-month contract with a strong possibility of extension. Primarily remote with occasional onsite presence in Midtown (travel not reimbursed). Full-time W2 contractors may be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, and disability.
- Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years of corporate tax compliance experience.
- Experience with end-to-end US income and indirect tax reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Business, or related field.
- Ability to work independently and produce organized work papers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- CPA preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship).
