We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and leadership‑minded professional to join our Investment Data & Analytics Team as an Investment Security Referential Senior Analyst
.
- Function as a team lead, providing day‑to‑day leadership by guiding priorities, answering complex questions, mentoring teammates, and driving consistent execution and quality.
- Lead cyclical reviews of security master data to ensure accuracy and adherence to established policies, procedures, and controls.
- Proactively monitor changes in securities data (e.g., credit rating and coupon changes), drive timely updates, and help set team standards for quality and documentation.
- Drive the creation and enhancement of data quality monitoring rules and logic used to capture suspicious data conditions.
- Apply deep knowledge of investment data EDM practices to improve controls, partner with technology and data teams on implementation, and champion best practices across the function.
- Own setup and independent review of security masters for newly traded and complex assets, ensuring nuanced aspects of each instrument are captured accurately.
- Lead reconciliations to ensure accurate setup of security master data within vendor systems and coordinate changes across multiple service vendors.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with vendors to resolve security‑level data questions for key attributes and perform advanced research and validation.
- Partner with Risk, Investment Teams, Compliance, Technology, and Operations on daily production needs and strategic initiatives, influencing decisions and representing the security master function in cross‑team forums.
- Leverage strong knowledge of asset classes and security master data to improve data definitions, attribute standards, and downstream usability for investment and client‑facing teams.
- Investigate data quality issues impacting investment workflows; coordinate resolution across teams as required and recommend preventive controls and process changes.
- Lead investigations of recurring data issues using root‑cause analysis and implement preventive solutions to reduce rework and operational risk.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and help coordinate work streams to deliver outcomes on time.
- Own intake, prioritization, and delivery of investment data requests from key customers (e.g., traders, portfolio managers, sales, and client service).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in investment management.
- 2+ years in security master/reference data with demonstrated ownership of complex deliverables.
- Familiarity with industry investment platforms such as Black Rock Aladdin and/or Bloomberg.
- Demonstrated understanding of investment products, asset classes, and financial markets.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including influencing stakeholders, driving decisions, mentoring others, and leading work streams or process improvements.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data topics for diverse audiences and drive alignment across teams.
- Highly motivated self‑starter with strong accountability, a continuous‑improvement mindset, and interest in expanding leadership scope over time.
- Strategic, analytical mindset with strong project management, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; able to balance day‑to‑day delivery with longer‑term improvements.
- Advanced Excel and intermediate SQL skills required. API knowledge a plus. Interest or progress toward CFA a plus.
- Annual base salary range: $90,000 to $100,000 USD.
- Additional incentive opportunities (annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long‑term incentives) based on role performance.
