Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of financial and operational functions, including:

  • Analyzing monthly and annual financial and operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with Property Managers to provide guidance and oversight on operating plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Approving and submitting reserve draws, third-party contracts, rent increases, and non-budgeted expenditures.
  • Performing post-acquisition activities and integration processes.
  • Managing investor, agency, and property manager requests related to financial performance and reporting.
  • Reviewing property tax assessments and submitting appeals when necessary.
  • Assessing insurance requirements and working with brokers on policy renewals and new coverage.
  • Conducting market analysis to review and adjust rent structures.
  • Performing periodic on-site property inspections to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Handling additional financial and operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications for the Financial Analyst Role

The ideal Financial Analyst will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant financial analysis experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
