Vice President Finance

Blue Harlan is leading a search for a strategic, hands‑on focused Vice President of Finance. This leader will report to the CFO and serve as a key partner to the CEO and Executive Team, helping to shape the company’s strategic direction while ensuring accurate financial reporting, working capital optimization, efficient financial operations, and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader and true team player with deep financial expertise, strong communication skills, and experience in complex, growth‑oriented environments. This individual will bring deep experience within manufacturing, distribution, or other supply chain‑intensive industries.

• Lead all financial functions including financial reporting, accounting, financial planning & analysis, accounts payable, sales tax, and treasury
• Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls across all financial functions
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Establish and monitor KPIs and performance management disciplines across the organization
• Manage cash flow planning, including liquidity planning and working capital optimization to support business operations and growth initiatives
• Provide timely, clear, and insightful financial analysis to support rapid and effective decision‑making across the organization
• Ensure compliance with all tax and reporting requirements
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing finance organization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred
• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance roles
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other supply chain‑intensive industries
• Expertise in cash flow management and working capital optimization
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
• Hands‑on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
• Experience with large ERP systems and advanced Excel required
• Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred
• Collaborative and relationship‑oriented leader with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
• Strategic thinker with strong business and commercial acumen
• Strong commercial mindset with experience partnering across Sales, Operations, and IT

• Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team to provide strategic financial insight and support enterprise‑wide business initiatives
• Build credibility and strong working relationships across all levels of the organization through proactive communication, responsiveness, and hands‑on leadership

• Experience supporting large, multi‑site operations within manufacturing, distribution, and other supply chain‑intensive industries
• Background in businesses with meaningful inventory and working capital complexity
• Experience in organizations exceeding $500M in revenue
