Financial Manager

Full-Time, Regular, Atlanta, Georgia

Responsible for managing financial affairs within a college, school or center. Responsibilities include budget management, financial controls and reporting, procurement, employee performance assessment, and supervision of financial staff.

• Develop and administer unit financial operating policies and procedures consistent with institute policy.
• Oversee and coordinate preparation and administration of unit budgets, including amendments.
• Record financial transactions and generate financial related reports on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
• Maintain unit financial related files and records.
• Monitor and maintain records of unit purchases.
• Supervise, train, and develop unit financial staff.
• Confer with unit management regarding financial issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Four to five years of job related experience.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices within a university environment, supervisory skills, communication, problem-solving, and proficiency with office and finance/accounting related computer applications and systems.

• Salary range: $56,679.00 - $81,274.00 /yr. Salary offered will be contingent upon experience and qualifications.
