Program Manager – Credit Cards

Consultant opportunity with a financial services client.

• Lead large‑scale credit card and debit card operations within a complex banking environment.
• Manage end‑to‑end program delivery for initiatives such as Visa to Mastercard conversions, Mastercard to Visa conversions, and core processing platform conversions.
• Coordinate and monitor multiple sub‑projects and cross‑functional work streams.
• Support enterprise card services initiatives involving large‑scale core processor conversions and payment platform migrations for card operations.
• Partner with internal business, technology, operations, compliance, fraud, finance, servicing, and vendor teams to ensure alignment across program objectives.
• Track program dependencies, risks, issues, and escalation items to ensure successful execution and delivery.
• Work closely with third‑party processors, card networks, and vendors throughout the conversion lifecycle.
• Ensure initiatives align with regulatory, compliance, audit, and enterprise governance standards.
• Provide strategic program management while operating in a highly matrixed environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology, banking, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of Program Management experience within banking or financial services environments.
• Strong experience supporting credit card and debit card programs, preferably within card services or payments organizations.
• Hands‑on experience managing Visa and Mastercard conversion initiatives.
• Experience leading core platform or processor migrations within card processing environments.
• Proven ability to oversee large, complex enterprise programs with multiple concurrent work streams and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of card operations, payment processing, portfolio migrations, authorization routing, settlement, and operational readiness activities.
• Excellent communication, executive reporting, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, SDLC, governance, and enterprise change management methodologies.
