Plant Controller

Location: Atlanta, GA (ZIP 30339 – Cumberland/Vinings area)

Travel Requirement: Must be able to commute regularly between Atlanta and Marietta, GA locations

• Serve as the finance lead supporting plant operations, providing insight into financial performance and key business drivers
• Partner with operations leadership to drive cost efficiency, improve margins, and support strategic initiatives
• Oversee monthly close activities, including preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial results
• Analyze manufacturing variances, including labor, overhead, and materials, and provide actionable recommendations
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans for plant operations
• Monitor inventory, standard costing, and production metrics to ensure accuracy and financial control
• Support capital planning processes, including evaluation of investments and return analyses
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, supply chain, and operations teams to support business objectives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with a strong preference for manufacturing or plant-based environments
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and variance analysis
• Experience supporting operational leaders and influencing decision-making through financial insights
• Proficiency in financial systems/ERP platforms and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
