Risk Manager/Analyst, Actuary, Financial Analyst

Our Financial Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIG’s major regulated and rated insurance operating companies globally.
Portfolio Analytics and Pricing Actuaries support AIG’s businesses and are responsible for technical pricing, product development analytics and performance measurement. They collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Financial Management.
- Analyze data to determine loss and expense reserve adequacy using actuarial techniques.
- Evaluate the appropriate IBNR to be booked each quarter, prepare Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
- Conduct research, experience studies and other more complex actuarial analysis, develop, review, and analyze changes and improvements to actuarial procedures. Optimize processes to meet business needs.
- Assist production of the Schedule P and other reports or exhibits for GAAP and Statutory financials.
- Complete project independently with some supervision.
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area preferred.
- Required 2+ actuarial exams.
- 2 or more years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C).
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong business and collaboration skills and responsive to service needs and operational demands.
- Effective time management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
