Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Clinical Trials Business Manager, the incumbent prepares formal reports and is responsible for completion of financial data for the CTO finances.
Responsibilities- Accounting: Audits and processes payments. Determines action to resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Ensures accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses. Develops, maintains, and analyzes budgets; prepares periodic reports comparing budgeted and actual costs. Establishes tables of accounts and assigns entries to proper accounts. Posts and maintains records of receipts and disbursements and prepares journal entries.
- Database, Files & Spreadsheet Maintenance: Maintains financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. Establishes and monitors implementation of accounting control procedures. Develops and maintains financial databases. Examines financial statements for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accounting classifications and policies.
- Advisory Capacity: Analyzes financial information to recommend efficient use of resources and procedures. Provides strategic recommendations and solutions to business and financial problems. Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses. Reports to management regarding finances. Educates department administrators and PI’s concerning compliance issues and assisted management of sponsored funds in accordance with regulations.
- Statements: Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Compiles and analyzes financial data to prepare statements and reports. Ensures all deadlines are met for accurate and timely close. Analyzes and advises on business operations, revenue & expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues. Assists with annual financial report and special reports. Prepares statements showing receipts, disbursements, and balances.
- Other: Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university with relevant experience.
- OR associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university and three years of relevant experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday.
Pay Band: B7.
Salary Range: $20.29 to $24.03 per hour.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications within the established range.
Recruitment Period: 5/12/26 - Until Filled.
