Plant Controller

Job Description

Experience: Mid Level

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year

• Own plant financials, close, reporting, and analysis
• Lead inventory accounting, cycle counts, and variance analysis
• Partner closely with the Plant Manager and operations leadership
• Present monthly financial reviews to senior leadership
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting
• Support planned projects, process improvements, and future equipment investments
• Work cross functionally with operations, finance, production, and leadership teams
• Help drive accountability, accuracy, and better business decisions at the plant level

• 5 to 10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing plant environment
• Plant Controller experience strongly preferred
• Senior Cost Accountant or Cost Accounting Manager experience may be considered if the person is ready to step up
• Food and beverage, CPG, or consumer goods manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong cost accounting, inventory, cycle count, and variance analysis experience
• Ability to work independently without heavy micromanagement
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Confidence working with operations and getting buy in from other departments
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to improve processes and take ownership

This is not a VP or CFO level role. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on Plant Controller or strong manufacturing finance leader who understands plant accounting, inventory, cost accounting, and operational partnership.
