Job Overview
Middle Market Credit Delivery Senior Analysts possess a strong and well-developed foundation in finance, accounting, commercial banking products, and credit-focused analysis, operating effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They independently perform and oversee advanced financial analysis, risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and portfolio management activities for complex clients and relationships. With limited oversight, Senior Analysts take increased ownership of assigned transactions, portfolio reviews, and analytical deliverables, partnering closely with Associates, Relationship Managers, and senior leadership.

- Lead financial analysis of moderately complex borrower financial statements, projections, cash flow sustainability, leverage, liquidity, and repayment capacity, exercising sound credit judgment.
- Evaluate and synthesize industry trends, business models, competitive positioning, and macroeconomic factors to identify emerging risks and opportunities impacting borrower and portfolio performance.
- Contribute to and review detailed credit memoranda for new transactions and amendments, clearly articulating transaction structures, key risks, mitigants, covenant frameworks, and independent credit recommendations for senior approval committees.
- Oversee periodic borrower reviews, covenant compliance, risk rating determinations, and early warning assessments, proactively escalating material credit concerns.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for internal stakeholders and external parties on portfolio credits, transaction structures, and risk considerations.
- Drive and contribute to ad hoc analyses related to portfolio trends, concentration risks, sector performance, and overall credit quality, providing actionable insights to management.
- Ensure data integrity and governance across credit systems and reporting platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible work experience; advanced coursework or professional certifications a plus.
- 1‑2+ years of relevant financial services experience, preferably in commercial, corporate, investment banking, credit risk, or a related analytical discipline.
- Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently evaluate complex financial information and identify key risks and drivers.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex analyses and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative and work ethic.
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
- High level of adaptability and flexibility, with proven organizational and time‑management skills to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of business operations, finance, and accounting principles, with the ability to apply these concepts in a credit or risk analysis context.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Minimum GPA: 3.5
- Demonstrated work experience in finance or related field.
All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
