Assistant Treasurer (Capital Markets / Corporate Finance Focus)

We’re partnering with a large, publicly traded organization on a high-impact search for a #2 to the Treasurer. This is a strategic role focused on capital allocation, financing strategy, and transaction execution. This is not a traditional treasury operations position.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong capital markets, corporate finance, or deal-oriented background who can operate independently and influence senior leadership.
Core Responsibilities- Drive analysis and recommendations around financing and capital deployment decisions, partnering closely with senior leadership
- Build and refine financial models that support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and long-term business planning
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to evaluate funding approaches, transaction structures, and market considerations
- Translate complex financial concepts into clear insights for executive-level discussions
- Support preparation of materials used in high-level strategic and investment conversations
- ~8+ years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction-driven finance roles
- Background that includes exposure to:
- Complex financing decisions or capital structuring
- Strategic transactions, investments, or deal-related analysis
- Strong modeling skills with the ability to connect financial outputs to real business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work in environments that require independent thinking, judgment, and ownership
- Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic discussions
- Not a cash management / treasury ops role
- Not focused on day‑to‑day liquidity or forecasting
- Not a back‑office treasury position
- Hybrid (Atlanta-based) – Local candidates are highly preferred
