Job Purpose

The IFI Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) acts as an integral part of the portfolio management team and possesses deep knowledge of capital markets and the investment philosophy across specified strategies. The CPM is a credible investment professional who serves as the primary interface between client‑facing resources and the investment team, communicating performance attribution, portfolio activity, and investment views to institutional and retail stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities / Duties
  • Grow and retain business by representing the investment team and key investment strategies to clients.
  • Serve existing clients via in‑person meetings, conference calls, and board or investment committee meetings, including acting as a substitute for Portfolio Managers when needed.
  • Provide end‑to‑end client servicing that meets high standards expected from Invesco products.
  • Communicate investment strategies, portfolio updates, and insights to drive client engagement and loyalty.
  • Develop research, presentations, and investment insights for clients, monitoring key investment and industry trends.
  • Leverage publications, speaking engagements, public relations, and marketing channels to drive key messages into the market.
  • Attend and present at industry and client conferences, including Invesco round tables, industry events, and PR opportunities.
Secondary Responsibilities / Duties
  • Develop institutional and wealth opportunities by educating consultants, investment platform gatekeepers, and prospects on investment‑grade and high‑yield strategies.
  • Develop and modify collateral such as final presentations, DDQs, RFPs, and due‑diligence meeting presentations as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with the Distribution teams to support an effective sales strategy.
Skills / Personal Attributes Required
  • 10+ years of investment‑related client‑facing experience, preferably covering U.S. investment grade and/or high yield strategies.
  • Experience with investment platform research analysts, field‑level financial advisors, retirement plan gatekeepers, investment consultants, and institutional investment committees.
  • Deep investment expertise, including portfolio construction, risk drivers, market dynamics, and product‑specific nuances.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with continuous improvement and willingness to take risks.
  • Strong work ethic, drive to succeed, and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, Morningstar, and other software tools; comfort with AI tools to enhance productivity.
  • Strong team player with ability to collaborate and communicate well with others.
  • Estimated 25‑50% travel.
Formal Education & Licenses

Undergraduate degree required, preferably in business or related discipline. MBA, CFA, or direct money‑management experience preferred. Series 7 and 63 required.

Workplace Model

Employees are expected to comply with Invesco’s workplace policy, which includes spending at least four full days each week working in an Invesco office as of October1,2025.
