Goldenrod Companies is launching GRIT (Goldenrod Residential Innovative Technologies), a new residential construction platform focused on delivering high-quality residential, build‑to‑rent, townhome, multifamily, and related housing projects nationwide.
Backed by the resources, capital, and project pipeline of Goldenrod Companies, GRIT has been created to capitalize on significant growth opportunities within the residential construction sector. As we build the foundation of this business, we are seeking an experienced Control to establish and lead the financial infrastructure that will support GRIT’s growth. This individual will play a critical leadership role in building scalable accounting processes, implementing controls, supporting operational decision-making, and providing financial visibility across a rapidly expanding construction platform.
Core Responsibilities- Lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and compliance
- Own the monthly close process, financial statements, WIP reporting, and cash flow forecasting
- Oversee project accounting, job costing, change orders, and project financial performance
- Manage AP, cash management, banking relationships, and vendor compliance
- Support ERP implementation, process improvements, and scalable accounting systems
- Coordinate audits, tax compliance, bonding, insurance, and lender reporting
- Build, lead, and develop the accounting team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience
- Construction accounting experience required
- Deep understanding of job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and construction financial management
- Demonstrated success implementing systems, processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure within a growing organization
- Strong leadership, communication, and business partnership skills

Location:
