Job Description
Provide advice and valuable financial solutions to complex Global Commercial Banking clients and prospects.
Responsibilities- Manage an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50million to $2billion and help companies save, borrow, and invest for their current and future needs.
- Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
- Understand and interpret financial and cash‑flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with domestic and international teammates throughout the bank—including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management—and facilitate client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions.
- Lead and facilitate dialogue with a variety of complex clients and prospects on topics such as industry trends, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
- Coach and mentor peers, utilizing leadership skills.
- Adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as needed.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Commercial Lending or Investment Banking.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large client portfolio and a proven track record of prospecting, relationship enhancement, and closing profitable transactions.
- Professional sales skills, including planning, execution, and follow‑up of client meetings.
- Strong corporate finance, capital markets, and accounting acumen.
- Financial modeling experience and completion of formal credit training.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to organize, facilitate, lead, and negotiate with a team of bank associates to solve client problems.
- Must satisfy Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series7&63 licenses within 180 days of start date.
- Local market knowledge.
- Strong business development capability.
Undergraduate degree in business, finance or economics (or equivalent experience); MBA desirable.
