Position Description

Since 2012, RWC Americas’ revenues have tripled, now accounting for over 65% of RWC’s worldwide revenues. The company aims to more than double these revenues through organic growth and acquisitions.

The Sourcing & Procurement Finance Analyst will report to the Americas’ Operations Accounting Manager and work closely with the Operations Controller and Director of Finance. The role involves supporting sourcing and procurement finance activities across the US, Canada, and China, and ensuring proper reporting and payment of duties and freight. The analyst will develop and improve processes for accurate financial reporting to support business growth and acquisitions.

  • Analyze US import tariffs to ensure correct reporting and payment, including regular review of HTS codes.
  • Manage freight and duty cost assumptions, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance reconciliation.
  • Participate in the annual cost roll process.
  • Develop tariff dashboards and analyze tariff data for pricing and cost visibility.
  • Establish relationships with third-party customs, freight, and logistics providers, and build reporting frameworks for duties and tariffs.
  • Work with customs brokers to maximize duty drawback opportunities and establish international drawback processes.
  • Analyze purchase plans, pricing, and variances to minimize discrepancies.
  • Support finance, sourcing, and logistics teams with tariff-related data reporting.
  • Understand imported products, HTS codes, and country of origin to recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with strategic sourcing for cost savings initiatives.
  • Support procurement with supplier reviews and contract negotiations.
  • Manage vendor rebate accounting.
  • Post journal entries for customs, freight, rebates, and other accounts.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and analyze financial statements for accuracy.
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts, audits, and external reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls and reduce costs.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting for business decisions.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

Candidate should be a high-performance individual with experience in manufacturing finance in a public company environment. They should be a proactive business partner, comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, with strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel (15-25%) is expected.

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required.
  • Active CFA, CPA, or candidate preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in cost accounting.
  • Experience with US imports and tariffs preferred.
  • Manufacturing or public accounting background preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.

Skills

  • Proficiency in SAP ERP, One Stream, and advanced Excel functions.
  • PowerPoint skills for presenting complex data.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
