Cap Mkts Sr Product Specialist

This role is responsible for providing product and/or processing expertise within Derivative Trading, Securities Trading, Loan Trading, or Agency Services Lines of Business within Capital Markets Operations. It involves managing or leading a specific function and includes major responsibilities such as client onboarding, trade capture, securities settlement and clearance, confirmations, client support, and margin/collateral processing.

It requires the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask, communicate effectively, and collaborate with external clients as well as internal partners in Technology, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Sales, and Trading.

Compensation
Annual base salary range: $130,000 – $160,000.

In‑office, 5 days a week (for employees located in a Truist hub city).

• Process transactions per job function and complete daily tasks within specified time parameters.
• Supervise teammates to ensure timely completion of daily work.
• Engage in initiatives and projects within the functional area and provide subject‑matter expertise as needed.
• Interact with clients, teammates from the LOB, and other support staff to process requests and resolve issues.
• Ensure functional procedures and controls are followed and maintained.
• Maintain proficiency in specific products and technology associated with Capital Markets.

• BS/BA degree or equivalent education.
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of brokerage systems or operations.
• In‑depth knowledge of the financial industry, products, and regulatory environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.

• Eight years of capital markets operations experience with functional knowledge of brokerage systems and operations; demonstrated increased responsibility and prior management or leadership experience.
• Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, report, and communicate data effectively.
• Skill in researching, reviewing facts, and applying analysis to formulate strategies.
• Excellent managerial skills and the ability to manage teams.
• FINRA Series 99 or 7 certification.
• Master’s Degree (e.g., MBA, CFA, JD).
• Advanced Excel user with macro knowledge.
• Proficiency in foreign exchange loans, currency conversions, and related actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Access, VBA, Power Apps, and Power BI.
