Responsible for coordination and oversight of the financial analysis, risk assessment and credit structure recommendation for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) clients and prospects within the institutional segment. This includes prudent underwriting and effective credit and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and procedure, financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, on-going portfolio maintenance activities, data integrity, and client support. Collaborate with deal team to maintain data integrity on existing portfolio and identify credit worthy projects within targeted markets.

Collaborate with Institutional Private Capital (IPC) IPC Relationship Managers and coverage bankers to identify appropriate credit opportunities within targeted markets and assists in the prioritization of relationship calling strategies. Supplement team performance through mentoring and coaching by applying a comprehensive knowledge of national project secured, portfolio secured, and unsecured lending including deep knowledge across all CRE asset classes and a working knowledge of national and international capital markets including institutional investment strategies, both public and private.

Builds and maintains constructive relationships between Commercial Credit including Central Credit, Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and CIG CRE cross functional leadership. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the assigned portfolio and is responsible for operational and credit risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead and coordinate the due diligence and underwriting documentation of the most complex and larger credit relationships; lead credit presentation preparation and discussion with Credit Officer and other final approvers, and coordinate legal documentation efforts through closing and booking.

2. Responsible for review and oversight prior to submission of due diligence, structuring, and credit underwriting on new money, renewals and reviews.

3. Ensure loan documents are in accordance with approval documents. Identifies potential issues contained within loan documentation and takes steps to address the issues, in consultation and coordination with deal team including the Relationship Manager, Portfolio Manager Team Lead, internal or external counsel and Credit approval team.

4. Provide oversight of credit relationship/project performance and monitoring activity to include overall portfolio management and understanding of current industry and market trends. Accountable for and manage assigned portfolio by monitoring performance and trends in coordination with Analysts and Associates.

5. Serve as secondary point of client contact including internal point of contact for assigned portfolio. This may include site visits and/or visits with client management team to understand strategy, relationship, and financial reporting.

6. Facilitate strong communication and collaboration across servicing and functional teams internally to maintain executional excellence through origination, closing, and servicing processes.
