Tax Manager

Overview

Cherry Bekaert, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in the country, delivers innovative advisory, assurance and tax services. The Core Tax Services team invites a Tax Manager to support our Atlanta, GA market on a hybrid schedule (average 2-3 days per week in the office). In this role you will serve as the primary point of contact for client tax compliance, manage workflows, deadlines and deliverables, and lead a small tax team.

• Serve as main client point of contact for tax compliance needs.
• Manage client engagements, deadlines, deliverables, and communication.
• Provide knowledgeable review of complex returns, including tax provision work.
• Anticipate tax and business issues and recognize planning opportunities.
• Lead and develop less experienced professionals, providing coaching and training.
• Leverage project‑management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Deliver superior client service in industries such as manufacturing, real estate, professional services, and high net worth individuals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred).
• Active CPA license required.
• Minimum of 5 years public‑accounting experience with at least 2 years managerial experience.
• Strong background in pass‑through entity structures.
• General understanding of corporate and partnership taxation, especially partnership equity investments.
