Investment Advisor
Provides investment advice in a virtual environment with an assigned book of business. Consults with clients to uncover needs and provide opportunities to add value. Demonstrates how particular investment solutions match client's individual needs, using a wide range of investment solutions to help build an investment portfolio. Responsible for ensuring that all business transactions and practices in the individual's span of control, comply with all regulations and the Truist Code of Conduct.
Essential duties and responsibilities include handling inbound calls from clients independently while looking for sales opportunities, answering client questions within set standards, consulting with clients to uncover needs and provide opportunities to add value through holistic financial management, demonstrating how particular investment solutions match client's individual needs, leveraging technology to interact with clients for communication, portfolio strategy, and display, ensuring that all business transactions and practices comply with all regulations and the Truist Code of Conduct, acting as a subject matter expert on bank/LOB products, assisting with the training of less experienced Financial Advisors, and working on small groups of Financial Advisors focused on partnership with Premier Bankers, Preferred Advisors, and Retail Banking leadership to facilitate training and referrals into the team.
Required qualifications include 6-10 years of retail brokerage or securities industry experience, strong communications, sales, presentation, and organizational skills with an emphasis on proactive outbound calling, demonstrated understanding of basic financial planning and asset allocation techniques, sufficient knowledge of essential systems to assist in trade execution, highly organized individual with knowledge of essential systems, policies and procedures, and investment products and services including basic financial planning and asset allocation techniques, Series 7, and 66 or equivalent registrations are required, and an undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or related field.
Preferred qualifications include MBA, CFP, CFA, CIMA.
