Project Manager – Banking & Financial Services; Atlanta, GA

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Project Manager for a contract opportunity with a financial services client.

• Lead end-to-end execution of projects across areas such as lending, deposits, payments, risk, compliance, or digital banking initiatives
• Collaborate with senior leadership, business units, and technology teams to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and dependencies
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
• Track project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure cost-effective delivery
• Provide regular status updates, reporting, and presentations to steering committees and executive stakeholders
• Support organizational change initiatives, including communication strategies and stakeholder adoption
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants as needed to support project delivery

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within banking or financial services
• Strong understanding of financial products and services
• Knowledge of regulatory and risk frameworks impacting financial institutions
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects involving business and technology teams
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar)
