Job Description

Manage a portfolio of Asset Based Lending (ABL) transactions for overall credit quality, collateral monitoring, financial analysis, risk mitigation while adhering to all operational/regulatory compliance. Work closely with Truist clients to manage the ABL loans, meet client needs and perform ongoing portfolio monitoring within Truist risk tolerances. Actively work with other functional groups to ensure ABL attains its revenue, income, credit quality and other financial objectives.

Teammates should have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead team of asset managers to manage/mitigate credit risk of ABL portfolio transactions.
  • Manage and develop a team to complete on-time, accurate, well-articulated amendment memos, trend cards, and problem loan reports; maintain risk ratings and financial spread; maintain credit files, manage collateral diligence including review and analysis of field exams and appraisals and maintain regulatory requirements.
  • Attract, retain and develop a team of top credit professionals.
  • Drive the restructuring of problem loans and workouts and closely monitor the teams complex transactions.
  • Manage ABL credit, operational and market risk within pre-approved risk tolerance levels.
  • Communicate and oversee compliance with risk policies and procedures.
  • Work with originations, structuring, legal, compliance and risk partners to align strategic objectives, share market knowledge, and facilitate seamless execution.
  • Demonstrate Truist culture and values.
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree
  • 15+ years of related work experience; 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Extensive subject matter expertise including advanced understanding of industry drivers, client interaction, product positioning, underwriting, workout and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functional areas to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust, creativity/innovation and accountability.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and insightfully.
  • Evidence of ability to develop and retain top talent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA degree, with a Finance focus
  • Diversified product structuring/underwriting/portfolio management experience

The annual base salary for this position is $200,000 - $240,000.

Benefits

All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position. Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays.
