Mortgage Loan Officer-Retail

Position Overview

The Mortgage Loan Officer – Retail provides excellent customer service, develops and expands referral sources, builds community relationships, and manages client relationships from approval through closing.

• Develop and expand internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business.
• Use consultative selling techniques to advise clients on mortgage loan options and related financial products.
• Provide exceptional customer service from approval through closing, working closely with loan origination sources to secure and verify underwriting information.
• Maintain client relationships and advise customers on loan application completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.

• Pipeline and book of business experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio programs).
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to cross‑sell financial products and services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• PC and Internet literacy.

Location:

Atlanta, GA – onsite only.
Exempt Status:
No (eligible for overtime pay).
Workplace Type:
Office.
