Quantitative Data Summer Analyst Program OverviewThe Quantitative Data Summer Analytics Program is a 10‑week internship and precursor for the Global Quantitative Data Analytics Program, designed to develop and coach quantitative and analytical talent.
As an intern, you will complete on‑desk work with your assigned team and apply quantitative and analytical methods to specific financial challenges. Throughout the internship, you will engage in challenging projects and opportunities to advance your career and development, in addition to learning and professional development opportunities, networking, volunteer events, mentorship, speaker series, and more.
The Quantitative Data Analyst Program extends across several lines of business. In your role, you will support the specific business you are hired into:
- Consumer & Small Business Banking
- Analytics, Modeling & Insights
Choose one of these lines of business and you will be considered for that specific track.
What You’ll Do – Explore Potential RolesBelow you will find the job profiles/roles for QDAP. When completing the application, you will have the opportunity to stack rank the profile of interest.
- Quantitative Analyst:
Apply mathematical and statistical models to understand and solve financial and risk management problems; skills include financial and mathematical modeling and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, R, MATLAB, and Java. - Data Analyst:
Collect, clean, analyze data, and extract insights; skills include data structures, data integration, data cleaning, data visualization tools such as Tableau, Hadoop, and PowerBI, and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Java.
Intern assignments are developed based on business need and aligned to skillset and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

A Day in the LifeAs a Summer Analyst, you will be placed on one team where your primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Extracting, processing, and interpreting data to support decision‑making, including potential for complex modeling.
- Conducting research and analysis, including assessing internal and public data, to provide micro‑ and macro‑views of risk and financial management.
- Applying quantitative and analytical knowledge to specific financial challenges and projects within your business alignment.
- Global Risk Management (GRM): leads company‑wide initiatives for managing risk and sustaining a risk culture, including development and implementation of risk measures.
- CFO Group
: responsible for overall financial management, including accounting, financial & regulatory reporting, treasury, financial planning, and investment. - Enterprise Credit
: integrated credit underwriting, monitoring, and technology transformation organization supporting clients across lines of business. - Consumer & Small Business Banking
: drives strategic growth initiatives across core units to serve client and business needs. - Analytics, Modeling & Insights (AMI): provides client insights through analytics, modeling, and decision sciences.
- Degree:
Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s direct to Master’s from an accredited college or university. - Graduation: between November 2027 and August 2028.
- Major:
Math, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or similar. - Advanced programming language and analytical tool skills, including but not limited to Python, SQL, R, C++, MATLAB, and Java.
- For Data Analyst profile, proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Hadoop, and PowerBI.
