Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Financial Crime
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, offers a full‑time mid‑level Associate position in the Financial Regulatory & Compliance Practice. The role can be based in any of our Miami, DC, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix, or Dallas offices. GT has the largest legal footprint in the United States, and the Associate will work with clients both large and small across a variety of industries nationwide.
Scopeand Responsibilities
The Associate will provide financial services regulatory and compliance support, including banking, money services businesses, payment systems, and Fin Tech firms. Responsibilities include licensing and chartering work, applying key financial services laws and regulations such as BSA/AML, sanctions, third‑party risk management, and consumer compliance. Enforcement experience is a plus.
QualificationsApplicants must have between 3 and 5 years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience. Strong academic background, excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills, and meticulous attention to detail are required. Candidates must be willing to take on significant responsibility, demonstrate a strong commitment to client service, and be diligent, proactive, and team‑oriented. Candidates must be admitted to or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
The Expected Pay Range For This Position Is $260,000 – 365,000 per year. Salary is based on education, experience, job‑related factors allowed by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials. Full‑time employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, healthcare and dependent‑care flexible spending accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance, and pet insurance. Commuter and transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
