Financial Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

The role of a Financial Analyst is to create, generate, and analyze financial statements, reports, supporting documentation, forecasts, and special projects in a timely and accurate manner for internal and external reporting purposes. This position requires onsite work in Norcross, GA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Prepare financial reporting packages and supporting documents

* Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations

* Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results

* Provide Ad hoc financial analysis and financial modelling to support business objectives

* Able to interpret financial statements and perform standard financial statement analysis and statistical calculations

* Creates and generates accurate and timely financial statements and other supporting documents

* Reconciles reports, account balances, and financial data to supporting documents

* Performs variance and margin analysis; creates trend reports and analysis

* Performs "what-if" analysis based on multiple scenarios and correlation of multiple components

* Able to extrapolate and create forecasts / pro-forma of financial performance

* Understands the flow of financial data from operations, to subsystems, to People Soft GL and reports

* Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

* Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices.

* Ability to interpret and analyze programs, policies, and procedures regarding personnel and fiscal matters.

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

* People Soft experience a plus

* Demonstrated understanding of GAAP.

* Proven analytical aptitude.

* Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communications capabilities.

* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership team and C-Suite partners.

* Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

MINIMUM

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree with major in Accounting, Finance, or related field

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Two to Five years in public accounting or corporate accounting
