Actuarial Analyst I
This position requires associates to be in-office 1–2 days per week, fostering collaboration while allowing flexibility for virtual work. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a reasonable commuting distance from an office. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless accommodation is granted as required by law.
The Actuarial Analyst I assists in determining rates, analyzing, developing, and validating statistical data. Responsibilities include applying actuarial analytical tools, performing preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis, updating actuarial pricing, valuation, and forecasting models, and ensuring data accuracy by coordinating within the division.
Responsibilities- Apply appropriate actuarial analytical tools under limited supervision.
- Perform preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis on data.
- Update actuarial pricing, valuation, and forecasting models as directed.
- Collect and refine data for actuarial analysis; coordinate with division to ensure data accuracy and reasonableness.
- Complete Actuarial Experience Reports (data collection, category of service logic, IBNR modeling, ledger reconciliation).
- Provide audit support by explaining models, data, and supporting details.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
- Passed at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exam, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred experience with actuarial experience reports and audit support.
Salary range: $66,240 to $114,264, based on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
