The Middle Office Senior Specialist’s primary function is to support the Investment teams by implementing a thorough trade capture, trade monitoring, trade settlement and risk mitigation framework. Responsibilities in this role include close interactions with various business partners including trading, portfolio managers, technology, sales, compliance, legal, internal/external vendors, and accounting.
The Contributions You Will Make- Support Front office/Investment teams by providing trade support for all Fixed Income and Equity products.
- Participate in trade capture of complex products including review of reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Coordinate processing of securities transfers, communicate with business partners, and ensure transactions are completed correctly and timely.
- Resolve complex trade issues that require extensive evaluation and perform life‑cycle management across all fixed income and equity securities.
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new clients, strategies, products, and asset types.
- Improve quality of information for downstream settlements and lifecycle events, including corporate actions.
- Perform vendor oversight of key Middle‑office functions.
- Implement process improvements to mitigate risk.
- Oversee day‑to‑day oversight of our back‑office provider, ensuring daily trades are communicated correctly, reconciliations are completed, and variances are resolved on time.
- Oversee the daily processing of industry events to the Investment Accounting teams.
- Maintain strong working relationships with team members, custodians, agents, and clients.
- Provide ongoing support for traders and portfolio managers.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 to 5 years of industry experience within Middle‑office, Derivative Middle‑office, or Accounting.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other PC‑based software.
- Good analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to independently prioritize projects and work in a fast‑paced, multi‑task environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of fixed‑income securities, equities, and alternative assets.
- Proficiency with Bloomberg, Tradeweb, Market Axess, Black Rock Aladdin, BNYM NEXEN.
Voya offers an annual base salary range of $76,000 to $95,000 USD for this position. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long‑term incentives) based on role performance objectives.
