Principal, Surety Services

The primary purpose of this role is to solve complex surety bonding needs in ways that protect our clients, satisfy regulatory requirements, and create profitable outcomes for all parties. This position plays a critical part in scaling our surety services line, developing carrier relationships, and serving as an expert advisor to clients on bonding matters.

• Place and manage a broad range of commercial surety bonds, including license and permit bonds, financial institution bonds, court bonds, and miscellaneous surety obligations.
• Analyze bond applications and underwriting data to assess risk and recommend appropriate bond programs.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with surety carriers to expand capacity and improve terms.
• Advise clients on bonding requirements, regulatory obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead the development of new surety products and service offerings.
• Collaborate with sales and licensing teams to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and carrier requirements throughout the bond lifecycle.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Deep knowledge of surety bond products, markets, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience building and managing carrier relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
