Job Summary

Responsible for leading financial strategy and execution to support business growth, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Leads financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and analysis.
  • Guides strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and financial modeling.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive profitability.
  • Develops and mentors associates within the finance team to build expertise and teamwork.
  • Implements process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to align financial goals with company strategy.
  • Supports mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transformations with financial due diligence.
  • Communicates financial performance and risks clearly and consistently to stakeholders.
  • Oversees commission calculations and ensure accurate, timely payments to associates.
  • Partners with HR and compensation teams to model, fund, and execute bonus plans.
Nature and Scope
  • Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.
  • May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.
Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Analytics, or related field preferred
  • Experience supporting Product Strategy, Category Management, Merchandising, Pricing, Private Brands, or Commercial organizations
  • Strong knowledge of category management and merchandising KPIs, including GMROI, PSVM, inventory productivity, and margin performance
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills with the ability to analyze large, complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial frameworks, governance processes, and reporting capabilities in evolving or ambiguous environments
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills with the ability to balance long‑term strategy and hands‑on execution.
  • Experience evaluating business cases, product portfolio decisions, supplier programs, rebates, promotions, and cost management initiatives
  • Proven ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to simplify complex analyses for executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled productivity and analytics tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and related technologies
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, continuous improvement mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and building scalable processes and performance management disciplines
