Position Overview
Pelium Real Estate Asset Management, LLC (Pelium) is a leading asset management platform dedicated to supporting Apollo’s commercial real estate financing business in the United States. This role is responsible for the overall management of a client’s portfolio after acquisition, acting as the primary point of contact for all portfolio management, servicing oversight, servicing transfer, and asset strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee multiple servicers, trusts, and strategic portfolio initiatives across all asset classes.
- Coordinate servicing transfer, operational review, remittance reconciliation, data reconciliation, rendering workout decisions, and identify servicing performance irregularities or exceptions.
- Drive enhanced performance by the client’s servicer.
- Coordinate with the company’s diligence and collateral services teams to define asset level strategies and curative effort post settlement.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, review loan documentation and reporting, and assess compliance with GSE and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop portfolio campaign strategies, customized reporting, and project management functions.
- Ensure overall quality and performance of the Asset Management Team.
- Maintain visibility into the status of every deal by ensuring reviews are performed appropriately in the system.
- Work with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot, etc.) to understand and reconcile data.
- Raise potential issues (performance, timeline, etc.) to management (VP, SVP, etc.).
- Verify critical exceptions are correctly applied when appropriate.
- Identify performance trends and potential enhancements for servicer processes or internal system changes.
- Other activities as assigned by the manager.
- Position requires working in office 3 days a week.
- College degree in finance/mortgage banking preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8+ years of industry experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent.
- Mortgage/secondary market experience or equivalent preferred.
- Commercial real estate asset management experience is required.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Team oriented, able to multitask.
- Excellent PC skills and high proficiency in Microsoft products.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability, good judgment, strategic and multidimensional thinker.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Professional behavior, punctual, dependable.
The annual full-time base salary range for this role is $ - $. Compensation is determined through interviews and review of education, experience, training, and market data.
