Senior Vice President, Capital Markets

Macdonald & Company has partnered with a growing real estate investment and development firm to appoint a Senior Vice President of Capital Markets & Investor Relations.

Reporting directly to the President, this executive will lead the firm's capital raising strategy, expand investor relationships, and drive equity formation across an active pipeline of development and acquisition opportunities. This is a high-impact leadership role suited to an accomplished fundraising professional with a proven ability to cultivate investor relationships and secure equity commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all capital raising initiatives across the firm's investment platform.
• Build, maintain, and expand relationships with institutional investors, family offices, RIAs, and high-net-worth investors.
• Own the full fundraising lifecycle—from sourcing new investors through to securing capital commitments.
• Develop and execute proactive fundraising and investor engagement strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing investors while identifying new capital sources.
• Partner with executive leadership, marketing, and legal teams to deliver investor presentations and fundraising materials.
• Represent the firm at investor meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• Lead and mentor the Capital Markets & Investor Relations team.

Ideal Background

• 10+ years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, or institutional fundraising within commercial real estate.
• Demonstrated success raising equity for real estate funds, developments, or acquisition platforms.
• Established network of institutional investors, family offices, RIAs, and private capital providers.
• Outstanding relationship management, presentation, and communication skills.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of delivering fundraising results.
