SummaryWe are seeking a knowledgeable and results‑driven Tax Senior for a growing organization in the corporate tax field. In this role, you will support compliance, tax planning, and business consulting initiatives within a dynamic tax department. You will work closely with finance and tax teams to ensure accurate reporting and optimize tax positions. Reporting to the Tax Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to significant tax projects and process improvements in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns such as Forms 1120 and 1065 to ensure compliance with domestic tax laws and accurate reporting.
- Model and maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned entities, tracking tax basis adjustments and tax attributes.
- Review quarterly tax accounting submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
- Support tax planning and business consulting projects to identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.
- Develop and train junior team members and interns to enhance their understanding of tax processes and compliance.
- Research tax impacts related to transactions and determine necessary disclosures and reporting requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams to understand business operations and identify tax opportunities.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate findings clearly to supervisors and team members.
- Identify innovative solutions that enhance tax department processes and drive organizational value.
- Assist with tax position documentation and support compliance initiatives aligned with overall tax strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Juris Doctor (JD).
- 3+ years of experience in a corporate or partnership tax role, ideally within a large multi‑national company or public accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of tax provisions, adjustments, and transaction impacts, including depreciation, amortization, and related reporting.
- Experience with tax software such as Corp Tax and One Source, and familiarity with BNA is a plus.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience training or mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with flexibility for collaboration and independent tasks.
