A leading lower middle market private equity firm focused exclusively on software, technology-enabled services, and digital infrastructure-related businesses is seeking an Associate to join its investment team in Summer 2027.
The firm partners with founder-led and entrepreneur-owned companies, leveraging a collaborative and operationally focused investment approach to drive sustainable growth and create long-term value. Associates receive significant responsibility from day one and work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the entire investment lifecycle.
Position OverviewThe Associate will play an integral role in evaluating new investment opportunities, executing transactions, supporting portfolio companies, and conducting industry research across the technology sector.
This is an opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial team with a strong track record of investing in growing software and technology businesses. The role offers meaningful exposure to management teams, transaction processes, and portfolio value creation initiatives.
- Analyze prospective investment opportunities across software and technology-enabled sectors
- Build financial models, including LBO, operating, and valuation models
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive landscape research
- Coordinate and review third-party due diligence findings
- Prepare investment committee materials and presentations
- Support buyout, growth equity, and add-on acquisition transactions
- Participate in management meetings and diligence sessions
- Assist in negotiating transaction terms and documentation
- Monitor deal processes from initial screening through closing
Track portfolio company financial performance and operational metrics - Assist with strategic initiatives and growth projects
- Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities for portfolio companies
- Support value creation efforts alongside management teams
- Monitor key trends across software and technology markets
- Maintain and develop relationships with intermediaries and industry participants
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating proprietary investment opportunities
- Develop investment theses across targeted technology subsectors
- 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, consulting, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
- Genuine interest in software and technology investing
