Mortgage Loan Officer

Zillow is hiring a Remote Mortgage Loan Officer to guide borrowers through the home financing process. You'll manage a pipeline of digital mortgage applications, collect and analyze income, credit, and property documentation, and recommend appropriate loan products. Partner with real estate and internal teams to deliver timely pre-approvals, clear conditions, and ensure on-time closings. Use Zillow's tech tools and data to streamline workflows and provide clear, proactive communication to customers.

You'll work in a collaborative, remote-first environment focused on compliance, transparency, and outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of digital mortgage loan applications from pre-approval through closing
• Collect, verify, and analyze borrower income, assets, credit, and property documentation
• Recommend suitable mortgage products aligned with borrower needs and eligibility
• Provide clear, consistent communication and education to borrowers throughout the process
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and real estate partners to clear conditions
• Ensure loans meet regulatory, investor, and company compliance standards
• Use Zillow platforms, CRM, and data tools to track activities and maintain accurate records
• Meet or exceed productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction targets
• Support continuous process improvements and share feedback with product and ops teams
• Work effectively in a remote, cross-functional, and metrics-driven environment
