Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Associate Financial Planner role based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The Associate Financial Planner will support senior advisors in developing comprehensive financial plans, including cash flow analysis, retirement planning, risk management, and investment strategy. Daily responsibilities include gathering and analyzing client data, preparing plan summaries and recommendations, and assisting with client presentations and follow-up. The role involves maintaining accurate records in financial planning software, monitoring client portfolios, and helping implement plan recommendations.
The Associate Financial Planner will also conduct research on financial products, tax and retirement strategies, and regulatory changes to support high-quality advice and client service.
- Strong foundation in Financial Planning and Personal Financial Planning, with the ability to analyze client situations and develop tailored recommendations.
- Progress toward or completion of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, or strong interest in obtaining the CFP credential.
- Academic background in Finance or a related field, with solid quantitative and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Retirement Planning strategies, including qualified plans, IRAs, and distribution planning.
- Proficiency with financial planning software and Excel, and comfort working with data and financial models.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts in accessible language.
- High attention to detail, ethical judgment, and commitment to client confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Prior experience in a wealth management, financial advisory, or related financial services role is preferred.
