The Portfolio Manager will oversee the financial planning, forecasting, governance, and reporting of a large technology portfolio. This role partners with Finance, Engineering, and Product leaders to manage portfolio investments, funding strategies, and financial performance, with a strong focus on Clarity PPM
, Cap Ex/OpEx management
, and portfolio forecasting
.
- Manage technology portfolio investments, budgets, and financial performance across multiple projects.
- Create and maintain projects in Clarity PPM
, including resource allocations, time reporting, and financial setup. - Develop and maintain monthly Cap Ex and OpEx forecasts and investment plans.
- Monitor actuals, analyze variances, and provide forecasting updates to leadership.
- Track portfolio spend and funding against approved budgets and targets.
- Prepare executive and investment committee reporting on portfolio health and financial performance.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to support portfolio planning and decision-making.
- Drive portfolio governance processes, including forecasting cycles, funding approvals, and financial reviews.
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree with three to five or more years of relevant experience
- Extensive Clarity PPM experience
, including Projects module, project setup, resource management, time reporting, cost plans, forecasting, and actuals tracking. - Technology Portfolio Management experience supporting large-scale IT portfolios.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in Cap Ex, OpEx, project funding, and spend forecasting
. - Proven experience managing large project investments and portfolio budgets.
- Deep understanding of capital vs. expense accounting and labor capitalization principles.
- Experience performing financial analysis, variance reporting, and forecast reconciliation.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Experience leading work within an Agile framework
. - Agile certification or demonstrated Agile delivery leadership.
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
- Strong collaboration, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting engineering and product organizations in a portfolio management capacity.
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
