Our client is a growing, partner-owned advisory firm seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as the senior finance leader for the business. Reporting directly to the COO, this role owns the full finance function — reporting, accounting, treasury, compensation administration, and systems — while driving a live Net Suite implementation. Ideal candidates bring finance leadership experience inside a professional services or advisory firm, a track record scaling finance in high-growth environments, and comfort operating across both technical accounting and strategic firm decisions.

• Ownership of the entire finance function.
• Directly manage a Director of Finance and Staff Accountant, with functional leadership across the finance team.
• Lead a live ERP implementation (Net Suite) and modernize the firm's financial systems and reporting infrastructure.
• Sit at the strategic table: firm valuation, long-range projection modeling, and partner and staff compensation.
• Join a growing, partner-owned advisory firm with direct senior leadership visibility.
• Work in a culture that genuinely emphasizes balance and limited travel.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Manage the general ledger, month-end close, AP, AR, and client billing across multiple engagement types.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting.
• Administer staff and partner compensation, bonus accruals, and profits interests programs.
• Drive the Net Suite ERP implementation to go-live and integrate connected financial systems.
• Oversee treasury, daily cash management, and payroll funding.
• Build the firm's annual valuation and long-range projection model.
• Support risk management, vendor and partner contract review, and firmwide compliance.

• 12–15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with prior VP Finance, Controller, or CFO-level leadership.
• Current or recent experience at a public accounting or financial/transaction advisory firm (audit, transaction advisory, restructuring or similar)
• Finance leadership experience within a professional services or advisory firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven track record scaling a finance function in a high-growth environment.
• Hands-on ERP implementation experience (Net Suite or comparable).
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-state tax compliance, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and manage compensation processes.

• CPA and/or MBA.
• Private equity familiarity.
• Experience administering partner compensation and profits interests (PIU) programs.
• Familiarity with Rippling, Expensify, Harvest, and Power BI.
