Position Overview: The Vice President, Client Advisory is a developmental practice‑building role designed to cultivate the next generation of business development and advisory leaders. The position is intended for high‑potential professionals who aspire to originate new client relationships, grow an advisory practice, and become trusted advisors to ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, families, family offices, foundations, and endowments. Through experience across business development, relationship management, and wealth management, participants will develop the capabilities needed to contribute to Pathstone’s long‑term growth.

Our services include investment advisory, as well as integrated planning and coordination across key areas such as tax strategy, risk management guidance, wealth and estate planning support, philanthropic planning, and family governance — helping clients navigate complexity and make informed decisions aligned with their goals.

Working alongside Directors, Managing Directors and other firm leaders, this role will have exposure to the full client lifecycle, from prospect development and business development strategy to investment implementation, financial planning and ongoing relationship management.

Successful candidates will participate in a cohort‑based training program expected to begin in late summer 2027 in Pathstone’s New York City office. The cohort model is designed to create a shared learning experience, build peer relationships, and provide direct exposure to firm leaders and Pathstone’s collaborative culture.

Through this structured, immersive multi‑month training program, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of Pathstone’s integrated wealth management platform, including Investment Research & Portfolio Construction, Financial Planning & Professional Services, Business Development & Practice Management, and Client Advisory & Relationship Management. The program is designed to build the technical expertise, commercial acumen, and relationship management skills needed to serve clients and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.

Participants will learn how to identify opportunities, articulate Pathstone’s differentiated value proposition, and develop trusted relationships with clients and centers of influence.
