Magnolia Trust Company administers trusts for high-net-worth families and provides specialized fiduciary services tailored to complex financial needs. Magnolia Trust Company partners with investment managers, CPAs, legal counsel, insurance professionals, valuation consultants, bankers, and other advisors to deliver coordinated solutions.

This collaborative approach allows the company to remain independent while working cohesively to help clients achieve their financial and estate planning goals.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the assigned Trust Officer in effective and efficient administration of trust accounts; understand and interpret legal and fiduciary documents.
  • Facilitate new client onboarding, account paperwork, file establishment and management, asset transfers and client welcome steps.
  • Process beneficiary distributions and bill pay; monitor liquidity and transaction accuracy, coordinate discretionary distributions under the Trust Officer’s guidance.
  • Gather 1099s, track trust tax returns, and confirm tax payments with investment advisors and outside CPA firms.
  • Assist the Risk and Compliance Director with annual account administrative reviews and exception resolutions.
  • Recognize fiduciary risk issues and seek guidance or resolution; understand and comply with internal policies and procedures to effect prudent risk management and judgement.
  • Maintain accurate records and transaction documentation; prepare correspondence using Microsoft Office and other tools.
  • Develop fiduciary skills and apply fiduciary knowledge and judgment to relationships.
  • Provide proactive and excellent client service.

Communicate with clients, attorneys, advisors, accountants, and insurance brokers in a timely and professional manner.

Respond to inquiries in person, by phone or through email.

Research client account inquiries as requested.

  • Support client retention by deepening relationships and notifying the appropriate parties regarding clients perceived to be at risk.
Qualifications
  • College degree with 5+ years fiduciary administration experience.
  • Flexible; able to adapt to change as well as determine and focus on top priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize across short and long-term projects.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, and strong technology skills all around.
  • Seeks continued development of fiduciary skills through training and experience.
