Health System Specialist

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Administering, analyzing, and performing work related to creating, distributing, and managing policy.
• Sharing national and VISN level directives and policies with service lines to support policy development.
• Providing education to service chiefs and supervisors to help them meet all directive requirements and complete VHA and National Security and Public Safety(NSPS) policy reviews.
• Protecting government information while promoting accountability and transparency. Assisting in the development and review of policies, processes, instructions, and procedures.
• Creating, tracking, and analyzing service profiles essential to administrative operations.
• Supporting the writing, development, and submission of implementation plans and policy documents.
• Managing the policy program in alignment with VA and VHA policy, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) standards, and other applicable federal laws and regulations.

Work Schedule:

7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. (Subject to change based on agency need.)

Telework:
This position may be authorized for ad-hoc telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
