GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is a state organization dedicated to partnering with communities to help create a climate of success for Georgia's families and businesses. OVERVIEW OF JOBThe Associate General Counsel will be responsible for handling legal issues related to the DCA administered programs across the agency. The Associate General Counsel also provides legal advice on federal and state laws and regulations that impact the administration and implementation of the Departments within the agency, including affordable housing as well as economic development programs and activities. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing legal analysis and review of program policies and procedures for regulatory compliance, responding to Georgia Open Record Requests, developing, and maintaining internal contracts and procurement processes, supporting agency Board resolution processes, and serving as a liaison between the agency and the Attorney General’s office on litigation matters.
