This position is responsible for enforcing a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, land use, nuisance, property maintenance, building codes, health and safety, and other matters of public concern. This position also reviews construction permit applications for compliance, issues permits, and keeps a permit log.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED
Five years experience in commercial and residential construction industry
Will be required to obtain an International Code Council Inspector Certification within (2) years of employment
KnowledgePrinciples and practices of commercial, industrial, and residential construction
Building and land code regulations
Ability to communicate orally and written
