"Challenger" is a limited series inspired by the true story of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, exploring the people, ambitions and decisions surrounding America's space program in the years leading up to the 1986 tragedy and its aftermath. Spanning the 1970s through the late 1980s, the series is set against a transformative era in American history, from the evolution of NASA and the Space Shuttle program to the culture, fashion and everyday life of the period.

• Background: $182/12 hrs.
• Featured/Director Selected: $196/12 hrs. Featured rates apply only when specifically booked at that rate.

• Block 1 filming:
  September 21st — November 4th, 2026.
• Series continues filming through February 28th, 2027.
• Filming location:
  Atlanta, GA. Must be able to work as a local — no travel or housing provided.
• If booked for a recurring role, keep this production as a top priority. Consistency and availability throughout filming is expected.
• Hair and facial hair:
  Do not cut your hair at this time. Longer, grown-out, natural hair gives the Hair & Makeup team more to work with for authentic 1970s and 1980s looks. Same applies to facial hair — let it grow. If selected, you may be asked to make slight alterations; let the production know what you are and are not comfortable changing. Do not make changes unless asked.
• Photos:
  Upload a current close-up photo and a current full-length photo. Professional photos not needed — current, clear photos are preferred. Upload no more than 3 photos. No videos or movies. Make sure hair and facial hair are clearly visible. Before uploading, save each photo using your first and last name as the file name.
• Fittings:
  Mandatory costume fitting for booked performers. Fittings held at studio in Doraville, GA 30360, separate from filming days, typically scheduled 2–4 weeks before your filming date. A fitting sign-up link will be sent if selected.
• Wardrobe:
  Costumes will provide a list of period-appropriate clothing, shoes and/or accessories to bring from home.

Tell the production everything you know how to do — professional experience, sports, military or tactical training, medical experience, trades, hobbies, unique skills. The production will match you with the best role based on your look, hair, facial hair, experience and skills.
