Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program
• Minimum 3 years of surgical tech experience; alternatively, 7 years of experience can substitute for certification for a total of 10 years
• Current GA LPN License if applicable
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed as an LPN required
• BLS certification required
